Doc came up with the acceleration charges that pushed the train to 88 in only a week in 1885. He could have set lightning rods to run into the tracks or even into the train itself given it's size, it's much easier to draw a lightning strike. All he needs to is get the train running at 88 mph during a lightning storm. How did Doc generate 1.21 gigawatts of electricity?įor the first, I think the answer's got to do with the time train being a train: Doc built it to run on lightning that ran through rail lines.
